2016 will be cable-free: incoming technologies for power, charging and wireless sync

2016 devices will probably all be free from cables and wires, charging and synchronizing through a plate universal magnetic resonance placed under the desk.

If you are surrounded by all kinds of cables and wires and your slippers are full of power, there is good news: in a few years all this finally end up in favor of a technology already discussed last year and that It seems to be now ready to power, charge and sync devices without the need for any cables.

Probably the transition will be gradual, yet integrating devices can connect the cable for those situations where you can not have mass adoption immediate such as by car, in public places or plane: however it is not a real novelty as wireless charging exist for some time, such as some of the solutions presented at  CES 2014, but the technology developed by Intel works differently: rather than relying on inductive charging, the company has chosen to focus their attention on a new magnetic resonance, ensuring possibility of charging larger than the first which instead is only suitable for low-power devices such as smartphones and little else.
According to reports by the  , the new type of power supply Wireless unable to recharge even with 5 centimeters in wood that separate it from the adjacent device, thus allowing to secure it also, for example, at the bottom of a desk. The same plate of power would also be able to charge several devices simultaneously, allowing essentially to recharge computers, smartphones and tablets placed upon a table without having to install more power in it.
The system used by Intel is the Wireless Gigabit Alliance WiGig system, which provides up to 7 Gbps a few meters away, enough so to "feed" an entire desk without problems; the technology will be supported by Skylake, a chip which is already working on the second version and could be integrated in the first laptops to use them will be from 2016. For Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Logitech, Panasonic and Toshiba, while Apple has not yet revealed any agreement, although it should probably be only a matter of time.
